Springer Trigger Kit/Bar Install
I just installed my springer trigger kit, also did the trigger bar. As I suspected I will need to file down the trigger bar.
Any tips for doing this? Im a noob when it comes to gunsmithing

Rupert, follow the instructions in the second post. I just did the same installation that you have done to my new .45 ACP compact. I used some small files that I purchased at LOWE'S (or any hardware store). Just read the instructions for the areas of the trigger bar that need to be filed for your gun. NOTE: A little filing goes a long way. It did not take much on my trigger bar for it to function properly as I wanted. Before the filing, I could not even get the trigger to fire the gun (dry fire). Good luck!!

Yeh, I put it all together then tried to take it apart (have to fire it to take off slide) I thought I was going to break somthing I had to squeeze so hard.

You should fit the trigger bar WITHOUT the striker and the associated springs in the slide, it makes proper fitting much easier.

No, striker, the striker is in the slide. It is what strikes the primer and makes it go bang. You can depress the grip safety and use a small rod to push the striker down through the gap in the rear of the XD on the left if you did not fit the trigger bar correctly and just slapped the slide back on.
If the striker is in the slide lose you can fit the trigger bar much quicker. If you don't know 100% what you are doing, you should have a gunsmith familiar with the XD check the gun for safety and function if you chose to fit it yourself and are do not understand fully what you are doing.

Is it anymore difficult then what ive already done? I already took about the entire frame - the grip saftey and the mag release. I heard the mag release was a pain in the asss (I have changed safties before and thats easy)

The grip safety and the mag release are the most difficult things for most folks to do.
