Dons Guide Rod Spring

So i have an XD-40 4in barrel, im interested in the Dons Guide Rod and spring set. How do i know what spring will be better served on my xd-40? not really sure what i am looking for in a spring. Thanks

The 22lb spring weight will soften the recoil, but a lower weight spring will get you back on target quicker...

Thanks for the welcome. Can you help me understand why a lighter spring weight will help with faster target acquisition? What is the stock weight of the xd-40?

i pesonally would buy at least 3 different ones and try them all. people can give you advice but its about whats best for YOU.
i have the 24# in mine and love it i bought the 20 22 and 24
