Difference between conversion and drop-in

What's the difference between your Drop-In barrels vs. your Conversion barrels? And what's the new ETA? Is the only difference, between the XD-9 and XD-40, the barrel and magazine?

I'm really anticipating your 9mm conversion for the XD-40; furthermore, I would really like to support you guys by purchasing from you, but I'm getting a little antsy and money is running low.

Thanks,
jc

A drop-in barrel does not convert the caliber, it is just an exchange of the same caliber.

A conversion barrel converts the caliber from large to small, in most cases 40 down to 9x19.

We have no date on our barrels but the tentative release is December 2007.
