update on conversion barrel

What is the requirements for installing the match barrel? What needs to be customized by the gunsmith I mean.

Also, say one wants to use the conversion barrels in the future, would having a fitted match barrel inhibit the use of drop in barrels?

A Match Barrel should be fit by a Smith who has both the knowledge and tools. The lock up needs to be fitted and the barrel length and crown need to be cut. Both Rich at Canyon Creek and Scott at Springer Precision are setup for this work.

Since the work is done on the barrel and not the gun itself, the effort will have not impact on the gun nor inhibit the use of drop-in barrels.

Gotcha, I wasn't aware of what the fitted match barrel entailed at all. thanks for clearing that up.

I'll probably be ordering one of your barrels in the next few weeks. I'm a customization whore.
