Blade-Tech Belt Holster

Hey there Oldschool,

Can you tell me the difference between this holster for the 4"service vs the 5"Tactical. I ask because I'm currently using the 4" but I am buying a 5" at the next show. Can I use the holster for the Tactical with a 4" Service for now or will the 4" Flop around in it. I don't want to have to buy two of these since I'll only use the 5" in competition once I get it. Also, what is the advantage or disadvantage of the Tek-Lok vs. regular belt loops.

Thanks.

The holster is closed bottom, meaning you can place a Service model in a Tactical holster, but not the reverse.

A Tek-Lok is much like a belt loop with hinges and shims. It allows you to put on/take off the holster without removing your belt like a paddle does, however it locks onto the belt like loops do. It is hard to explain, I hope this helps. With the Tek-Lok, seeing is believe (and understanding).

Fantastic. So I can order the Tactical and use the service in it for now. I assume it holds the weapon securely and just leaves the extra space below the muzzle? How secure are the TekLoks? I'm always leary of easy on/easy off clips and such that get worn and come loose at the wrong time.

Thanks for the feedback.

Yes, the Tactical holster is the way to go. As for the Tek-Lok, it is what I have on all of my holsters. It is as secure as belt loops, no worries.
