Canyon Creek Tungsten Guide Rod 45ACP SERVICE

I was browsing pistolgear.com this morning and I relized that Canyon Creek has a Tungsten Guide Rod out for the XD 45ACP Service. It is quite pricy and I haven't heard any reviews of this product. I am more interested in this guide rod because it is the only one out for the 45acp service not because it it made of tungsten. I understand that the the extra weight of the tungsten guide rod will help fight muzzle flip.

Does anyone have any experience with this new product from CC? I would like to hear some reviews before purchasing.

That specific setup has been available for 24 hours. We do know that there are many others who have the Tungsten rod for other XD models.

Old School, does the CC tungsten service guide rod come with a bushing? Also, when ordering I should choose the "No thanks, using stock spring" option and it will still come with a 21# spring? Does the spring the guide rod comes with need to be cut at all?

Sorry for all the questions, I want to know what I'm getting into before I order.

The bushing comes with the rod, you don't need to order a different spring as the included spring is cut to size and the proper weight for reliability reasons.

If it is a Service model, it should fit just fine.

We only received a few in the first batch. We will need to speak with Rich to see when he can send the next batch. Tungsten is hard to work with and is in low (expensive) supply.

OldSchool, any chance you'll be getting any SS rods for the .45 Service length?
