Until a spring can be developed that will last more than 2K cycles I won't sell them. I have found no spring company that can make the spring last, it is grossly over stressed.

As Rich stated, the rod is the easy part. The difficulty is the spring and there is no spring available that anyone has found, that will work.

Why can the original spring not be incorporated using the tungsten rod for the weight?

I know, but why not design a captive spring guide rod assembly using tungsten for the rod and use the original spring?

I am not a designer nor machinist, but, seems like what everyone wants is the added weight of the tungsten not the added action of a different spring rate. So, I say use the stock spring with a tungsten rod.
