Since the XD45 Compact is basically a Service with a grip chop, is there any reason why the tungsten guide rod wouldn't work in a Compact? I like to have a little muzzle-heaviness and this seems like the ticket.

Mine is 45 compact also. Could you keep us posted if it doesn't work with the compact? I think it should work since the upper should be the same with the regular service size. thanks

Rich is struggling to get enough Tungsten to get some decent runs going. Issue number two is springs.

By the way, can I use different spring? Such as #20 or #18.5? Or do I have to use it with #21 only? Thanks P_Pac

Rich is having a special spring made up. I believe the weight will be 21# as that seems to be the correct weight that that model of XD.

It'll work just the same. The *only* difference between the 4" Compact and the Service is the grip length.

Until Rich receives his batch of custom springs, it will be awhile before the XD45ACP Service length rods are available again.
