OK, being that we are less than a month away from releasing our first barrel, I thought that now would be a good time to make the announcement.
When we made the decision to invest into both the product and the process nearly a year ago, it was our goal to offer a barrel that was better made, more accurate and for less money than what is currently available. We made it clear to several barrel makers that we did not want a drop-in barrel that MAY be more accurate than stock nor a means of just private labeling an existing product. What we wanted, since we are putting our name on this product, is a barrel that is of the highest quality, workmanships and accuracy. When all shook out, in the end just one company proudly stepped up to our expectations. In July of 2006, we decided to partner with Storm Lake Barrels and began the process of building a XD barrel. We are 30 days away from releasing our first barrel for the XD; it will be in 9x19. The price for the PistolGear branded barrels are going to be $125 ($30-$70 less than anything else currently on the market). This price includes shipping and will be readily available without weeks of lead-time. Now, these are not "drop-in" barrels that may or may not drop-in, but barrels that need to be fitted by a gunsmith. Why? To achieve the level of accuracy that we and our customers demand. Since the barrels do need to be fitted, both Rich at Canyon Creek and Tom of Novak's Handgunner Outlet have both agreed to offer fitting services at a reduced/discounted rate. The discounted rates are as follows... Barrel Fitting (Cut, Crown, Fit) - $75.00 Barrel Fitting with Threading (to your spec) - $120.00 The goal was to get a custom fit barrel into our customer's XD for less than $200. This pricing strategy allows that; we are quite happy and hope you are too. Being that we are now in the final stretch, we have a few things to finalize. If you have any questions, please let me know. Kindest Regards, Old School PistolGear.com

So...are any of these barrels able to be custom converted for the sc by any chance (like a .357 for the .40)?

Congratulations Scott! I'm eagerly waiting reviews, and the 5" .45 if/when you elect to produce one. Great price point for a product I'm sure will be fantastic!

Thanks, guys.
After the 9mm will come the 45ACP, then 40SW, then the .357SIG for XDSC. This is the current plan... OS
