A couple questions about your product.
How well do the arradondo mag extensions work? Any complaints?
Also, how does the HKS magloader compare to the one that comes in the XDgear kit? Somehow, and I am not sure how, I got a nasty bruise from the one that came with my .45C. |

The mag loader is an apple to orange comparison to the way the each work. The HKS has a lever that pushes down the bullets, which takes a lot less force to load and is much faster.
Regarding the Arredondo Extensions, I am not sure what you mean by, "How do they work?" They slip on the bottom of the magazine, replacing the stock base pad. Once in place, the extension's void allows you to add more rounds to the magazine. As for complaints, some have stated issues with slide lock, however I am not sure if this is the case still or not. I have put at least 1000 rounds through the Arredondo I tested on three different mag tubes and it never failed. Hope this helps. Scott

I guess my concern with the mag extension is that it uses the original spring, and would thus be more likely to fail pushing the last round or two up.
Right now it looks like I will probably be putting together an order soon. |

The stock XD springs are long and over sprung IMHO. If you want/need a new spring, the ISMI G17 springs seems to work well.

Order placed. My gun is going to look a bit goofy with 3 mags missing spacers. . . but doesnt hurt the functionality at all.

It is all your fault.
I receive my various dodads, and the temp drops 10f immediately. By the time work is over it is a 20f drop. Looks like I won't get a chance to test out my various dodads until I get down to anchorage in a week and a half. Did you HAVE to ship me the cold weather? |
