PistolGear Offers Duty Gear: What do you think?

During that past 24 months, we are often asked my LEOs to carry duty gear for the CD, since finding specific items is tough. What do you think? Would carrying CD holster applicable for duty be of benefit to any of you?

I would go for that. Currently I'm not using a XD for duty, but I still want to get XD related accessories just in case things change (job change, policy or weapon selection changes) and because I want to start shooting competetively and use gear I am familiar with. And, I wouldn't be waiting for years before making a purchase either.

You might get a good share of LE traffic to your site by expanding the inventory. Don't go overboard on it, though, or you could end up like the old Constable store in Downers Grove. I wouldn't want to see that.

I hear that. Duty Gear is a game all to itself. If we add something, it will be holster for the XD, nothing more. Have you visted www.thedutyrig.com?

My younger sister, who is a cop, owns that store with a LEO from another department.

I'm not in LE but this sounds like good business sense to me. Offering a product that is otherwise hard to find gives you an advantage over your competitors.

Whoa. Small world. I used to work in Mundelein just up Route 83 until December 2005. I spent a lot of money on lunch, cigarettes (when I smoked) and other assorted stuff right in that neighborhood. Mundelein's a nice town, too. Of course this now makes me miss Franks for the Memories and their wings.

I'm downstate, now. I also don't have much call for duty gear personally, but I have a cousin near Oswego who's an EMT and as the son of a (now retired) cop, I know that LEOs are always trying to figure out how to get the best gear with their gear allowances and credits. I'll give my cousin the info and if he doesn't stop in, maybe he can spread the info around his network to the guys further north.
