Hume Agent Holster Help
I orderd and recieved the Don Hume agent holster. It came today in record time. I was very happy with the shipment speed and company communications.
Old_school told me that all their holsters for the XD will fit the XD-45. And he was correct. This holster holds it like a glove, BUT i cant get the retention strap to line up enough to snap closed. Its like the 45 is just a LITTLE longer than the xd 40? Can the leather be heated up to streatch it a little to get it to snap closed. Then once it does will it stay that extra length or shrink back down. Can anyone from pistol gear help? I dont want to do anything to his holster that would stop me from being able to return it and get a differnt one or my money back.

Got it to snap! it took a TON of downward force on the gun. And unless it relaxes or something i know i wont be able to get it to snap when reholstering it, I would have to take it off to resnap it....
:edit: After forcing the snap a few times and repeaditly drawing and reholstering the weapon a few times i got it to loosen up a little, and i think with time and drawing it will become a perfect retention fit! I want to praise pistolgear.com on the super fast shipment and great prices... if your in doubt about ordering from this website feel confident that even a perfectionist like myself was more than pleased with this site!

I will call HUME in the AM to get their thoughts. That said, by leaving it snapped, it will stretch the leather a bit. I know that there are leather products on the market to help with the stretch too.

After letting it sit in the holster with the retention strap snaped closed the leather has extended perfectly to allow for smooth reholstering! This is my first leather holster so i guess i was a little jumpy about it not snapping, but its a perfect fit now!!! Thanks again pistolgear!!!
