Yeah, the barrel is def. supposed to have the gap above it for cycling ammo from your magazine at the proper angle from the ramp. Have you noticed the barrel is at a slight upward angle when the slide is locked back. I agree, should def be shot more. Other than that, that is great work on the S.C.

Do not use the crayons ... Get a laquer stick, do it the right way. I'm going to be doing my Bi-Tone in Black here shortly. I really want to get mine hard chromed but I'm going to wait a while. Modding them is addicting isn't it? I can't leave ANYTHING stock ... The barrel is normal. I thought the same thing the first time I cleaned it and than it donged on me.

What type of sights do you have on their?
ever had a problem with Blazer?

nah, im not gonna do the engravings after all. i like mine the way it is. simple. but i do wanna see your black laquer results!

sights are TruGlo tritium fiber optic (TFO), as stated in the OP

and the Blazers are my favorite range FMJ. then again, ive only shot Winchester, Blazer and Remington, from Wally World.

How much was it to have the slide hard chromed? Id liek to know the shipping costs too.

well, Tripp doesnt hard chrome anymore. but when i had it done, it was about 100 + 25 shipping, each way.

so it was about 150 bucks total for just the slide.

well, at the time, i didnt know of any fairly priced trigger jobs. but now i have a PRP safety lever and over travel stop waiting patiently on my desk to be installed. im sure ill wish i had installed it earlier once its in though, no doubt this is my first gun, btw, so i dont really know what a good trigger feels like. that interesting enough for ya?
