Pics of my new custom Springerized XD

Well, it finally arrived. My new XD .45 service from Springer. This is my 8th or 9th XD and this one is EASILY my instant favorite.

Specs:
XD .45 service
Springer Combat/ Carry Trigger
Dawson sights (Fiber-optic front, target rear)
Extended mag release
XD Guys extended slide release
Factory clean-up
Snakeskin grip stippling and complete refinishing on frame, slide and other small parts.
I also had Scott do the black IonBond coating on 4 of my carry mags.

Of course, we polished the barrel, feedramp and the end of the GR, but that's not done in these pics

I have to say- the pics just don't do this gun justice. It looks SOOO nice in person.

Here's the pics:

Thanks!
The stippling is actually one of my favorite parts.
It certainly makes for a better grip surface, but it's not overly rough or abrasive at all.

Looks good. I can't say that the color is my favorite, but all in all it looks great.

That looks like a great setup! There aren't many stippling jobs that I like, but that looks great!

I think having it refinished after the grip was done made it a bit smoother and more uniform.
It's not cheap, but heck- I don't have any more in this gun than I'd spend on some Kimber custom shop gun and that wouldn't have a 13+1 round capacity.

My Kimber custom CDPII wasn't as reliable as any of my XD's either.
Come to think of it, NONE of my 1911's were as reliable...

(Quick razz to the 1911 guys)
