Thanks for sharing! I was rooting for you in the ST contest, TheUziButton/BlowStuffUp. That backlit shot is one of the finest firearm photos I've seen. How do you like the .40 S&W for suppression?

Actually this particular one is a .40Tac model converted to 9mm via an EFK firedragon conversion barrel. The 9 sounds great though. Spooky quiet when you add grease.

Yes, yes... but silencers can be shared between several host guns. Some are even rated for multi-caliber use. The SWR Specter is for .22lr, .22WMR, .17HMR, and 5.7mm Pistols or Rifles, and full-auto rated for .22lr. The SWR Trident 9 is made to be mounted to pistols or sub-guns and supports thread-on, LCD, and 3-lug mounts so you could use it on an XD-9, AR-15 with 9mm upper, MP5 clone, etc. I use my YHM Phantom 7.62 for a .308 Win supersonic/subsonic bolt-gun and 5.56 NATO AR-15. My next upper will be either in .300 Whisper or 6.8 SPC, either of which will still be compatible with the Phantom.

So, when you think about it, if you choose your silencer carefully you can use it on several firearms within your collection. Of course, they're addicting, so be warned
