See, I want an AR in .223/5.56mm. However, you can't use them on small game or varmint in KY as you're restricted to rimfire rifles. .223/5.56mm is marginal for deer, and not even legal for elk. So...kinda pointless for me to have.
Wow that sucks, atleast I can use my AR for varmint (coyotes/rabbits) hunting out here. I've never hunted real game before so I've never had a need for a larger caliber rifle. The AR will come in handy if I do buy a shotgun... I can try out some 3 gun comps and get smoked. LOL

I know several people that have an AR as their HD weapon...virtually bottomless mag, very little recoil, easy to mount tac-lites, lasers, and red dot scopes, and obviously some .223 JHPs coming at you at 2700fps+ aren't exactly the most comforting thing in the world. I still prefer a 12-gauge for HD, and I can use a 12-gauge for any hunting I do. If I ever do pick up an AR, I'll probably get the RRA-458SOCOM.

yeah i do not hunt really either but i still want an ar in .308 as well as an ak. .308 for long range competition,an ak for just straight out to hell and back reliability round count,a 20" shotty either an 870 or a mossberg 500 for HD and possibly competition, a double barrel side by side 12ga 18 or 20" barrels for HD and just for pure fun. and as many pistols as i can get primarily chambered for .45 a few for competition and the others for range work, ccw,HD,and just for collecting if i had the money i would truely have an armory...its a goal in life along with hopefully never having to use them but i want them in case..cause in todays world you just never know. hmm what was my original intent for this post...umm i forgot but go get yourself an ar just becouse if you ever move or need it you will have it..cause you never know when they might make it illegal to buy one that reason alone is enough for me.

I don't have all the unnecassary weaponry that is required to be a mall ninja. I just have the average wood stocks on all my long guns. I don't have any multi bladed throwing objects. And I definately don't have the black tactical clothing that seems to be a requirement. I guess I'm just old fashioned...or maybe just old.

You don't need any tactical accessories to be a mall ninja. I offer counseling for mall ninjas and the most common characteristic is they think they can kill zombies with a spinning backfist. You see, it doesn't work like that.
