S&W 637 Bobbed, Hogue Grips and Leek

Put Hogue grips on the 637 today, shot and cleaned it so I took a pic after it was cleaned:

I tell you what, I fell in love with this gun again after shooting it with the Hogues. I was thinking about getting a CW9, but I know I'll always end up going back to the snubbie in the pocket. I may have to end up buying another and carring it weakside instead of a reload...

It's a 38 Spl. Speer GDSB was stiff, but not as bad as it was with the factory grips. CorBon 110 gr DPX had probably 90% of the felt recoil of the GDSB load. I would be hesitant to shoot 357 out of an airweight, even if it was chambered for it. I don't need that kind of punishment.

637???????

Are you sure that isn't a S&W 642?
It looks just like my 642, hammerless and all.

I love mine by the way..........

Yup, it's a 637. I bought a replacement hammer and bobbed it.

Could you post a pic of the hammer?
I'm curious to see how it turned out.
I like that grip, if I didn't have the CT grips, I'd use that one.
Nice gun & nice pic......
Although I bought my 642 for occasional carry, I've been carrying it everyday since I bought it.
I'm so comfortable with it I just sent my XD9sc to Tripp's for hard chrome.

I did a write-up of it last year, complete with pics. I'd love to see the Tripp'd XD, be sure to post pics!

Is it just me, or is it really annoying that all the new Smiths have that locking feature right above the cylinder release? I am only commenting because I saw that in the picture and the 629 .44 magnum I bought recently had it as well. At first I thought it was a blemish, and looked closer and discovered what that odd little key was for in the box. I am wondering if it could eventually cause a mechanical fault that would lock on the trigger when you need to fire it?
