There is a drill bit that comes with the kit, I used a smaller drill bit and drilled a guid hole into the frame, then followed with the bit that came with the kit. the set screws self taps the frame.

With gun disassembled (field stripped), I pulled trigger to move trigger bar forward and used scratching awl on frame above the trigger bar. Remove the trigger bar and associated parts to do this, and use the enclosed drill bit that comes with the kit. Drill a hole just below the scratched line approx 1/2 depth of the long screw. cut off short end of enclosed Allen wrench, insert into cordless drill. using a very slow speed, apply pressure and the screw will cut its own threads. Reinstall trigger bar and kit and adjust as necessary... this is how I did mine.

I just had a scare, I was trying to fine tune the set screw, and after pulling it out to shorten the trigger pull I put the gun back to gether only to find out that I had pulled it out too fire , and I couldn't make the gun fire...which is needed to dissasemble it...which is needed to fix the set screw...
starting to see the problem. Thankfully I was able to reach into the back of the gun with an allen key and manually push down the sear alowing for dissasembly. I now have it set so that there is about 1/8-1/4" of total movement in the trigger...what an improvement! |
