I already had an xd40sc when I got my P11. it's nominally smaller, but a fair bit lighter. The only real reason I got it was because it was a steal, $220 with 300 rounds of FMJ.
It's a pretty nice little gun for what it is though. Fits in my pants pocket pretty nicely in a high noon pocket grabber.

Here's my P-3AT w/ Armalaser, and my XD45 for comparison.

I LOVE my P-3AT. With the laser, it shoots faster follow-ups, it is nearly "print-free" in your pocket, and I can carry it in shorts, dress pants, jeans pocket...

It shoots legit 4" groups at 7yds.

My XD45 with the Custom Shop Comp Trigger shoots ragged holes, but it's tough to toss in your pocket for a quick trip to the store, or to carry at work...

For it's purpose, the Kel ec is awesome, and flawless through 300-400 rounds.
