The XD, and Ruger frames still look like they were just painted. Last time I check the AR some small chips on the shell deflector.

I had my slide dura-coated in stainless steel color on my XD45 service. The is major wear on the inside but that's to be expected. Not sure why he painted in there anyway. The loaded chamber indicator has a small chip on it, but everything else still looks good. My guy's website is: www.hoosierguncoat.net and there is a pic of my slide on there.

Did all of ya'll do it yourselves or did you send it off to get coated?? It sounds like it needs to be sprayed on with some paint equipment.
