A lucky shot
![]() Caught it wide open, brass ejecting, slide back, and new cartridge ready to go in. Lucky because this in not a high speed camera. |

i dont mean to "question" you but why does it look like that is a full round? meaning with the actual bullet in the casing?

What you are seeing is a blurring effect on the casing caused by the high speed of the casing being ejected. There is no actual bullet in the casing, just the blurred movement of the spent casing due to shutter speed and such.

Yep, he was actually shooting lead (silver colored) bullets, but I see what you mean. About the shooter, he is in his early 80's and still comes to matches. I was RO'ing and randomly snapping shots.
![]() Here is the full shot. When I zoomed in with Photoshop to make the photo smaller I saw the next round in the mag and thought that was cool, since I was just snapping shots 1 handed while ROing him. Generally, the brass is much further away, and this is the closet one I've ever shot. ![]() In this shot of me shooting, the brass is close and you can see that is the second of two shots, as you can see 2 pieces of brass. This was taken by someone who is actually a good photographer |
