Who do I blame? You!
Well, that's the excuse I'll try to use with my wife. After being a member on this forum for a couple of months, I finally own an XD!!!! Did a little shopping today, found/bought an XD40SC, and took her to the range (350 rounds)!!!! What a great handgun, I love it. I think I have a bad 11 round magazine though - I had several failures to feed and it just didn't feel right. The 9 round magazine worked flawlessly. I'll be ordering some additional magazines and we'll see how they turn out.
 P.S. Pardon the photo fact that she's dirty, I took the picture immediately after coming home from the range. She'll be getting a cleaning tonight.

I think you need to learn to count before you shoot a gun...
...I usually count the number of rounds that I load in my clip as I put them in. You might read all of the instructions first, I know that is counter intuitive for most of us males, but it is probably smart when dealing with firearms. I've never had a miss-feed, failure to fire or failure to eject, with my XD 45 Compact, but I have read where it takes a number of rounds to break the gun in, and the more you shoot it, the better it gets. That's not to say that you don't have a real problem, because that does happen, but Springfield will fix it for you.
