My $127 G34

Finally got it in. Won a certificate in one of GSSF's random drawings at a match (because I sure didn't win it with my skill ). Decided to pay the upgrade fee and get a G34 to use for USPSA in Production Division. Shot it today and as much as I like it, there are a few things I definitely like better on the XD when they're stock for stock . . . mainly the sights and the actual trigger shape. I figure if this doesn't work out, I can sell it and get an XD-9. Sorry for the poor quality pics, the phone camera doesn't take such good pictures and the camera died after taking the one on the bottom.

At the shop:

When the XD-45 met its newest adopted family member:

At the range (where they both got to meet some of Indiana's finest):

One thing that did surprised me, the Glock OD frame isn't as putrid in person as a lot of the pictures I'd seen online made it look. Guess I don't have to Duracoat it gray now . . . just tear it apart and polish the internals.

The Glock is not a brother, it's a distant cousin.

Well...you've got a black rifle and a black pistol...I think the new Glock requires a matching AR.

I guess I just think those longer slide glocks just look strange to me. I think it's because I prefer the looks of the XD in just about every model and size. I've never handled on that size though; I've only seen pictures.

Well if you decide you don't like it and don't want it, I will be glad to take it off your hands for $127.
