Odd deer pictures

I didn't really consider these "hunting pics" so I didn't post them to that thread.

I always keep one of those motion detected digital game cams up just to see what is around and when. It took these pictures last night.

To me, it sort of looks like entry and bad exit wounds on the deers neck (closest to camera) from this past deer season maybe? I know a few of you guys keep cams up and was wondering if you've ever seen anything like this or have a better guess at what type of injury it is. I guess it could maybe be a antler scar from a hardcore battle during the fall too.

Looks like a bullet entered under his neck and came out the top of his neck and missed bones, veins and arteries. I have seen bullet wounds on deer that were no killed before. That would be an odd shot though, shooting uphill maybe.

it could be a predator attack wound, cats will go for the neck most of the time. dogs nip or bite at the flanks or rump area. maybe a lion or large bobcat.
