Getting the itch for a bike this summer, wife doesn't seem to mind. That's the main source of transportation in her country. What she doesn't know is there's a big difference between the 125cc bikes they have, and the 600cc monsters we have.

I'll probably buy my friends 98 YZF600. My wife wants to wait until we move but I want a bike NOW!

Nope, I'm a total rookie. I wanna sign up for riding classes, then take my test. That's one reason I don't want a 1000. I'm not trying to kill myself.

Huge, huge difference. But after you give her one ride she'll be hooked.

I want to get back to riding this summer. Need a bike first though.

pfft 1k? Bro a 500 V-Twin would be good. I'm not going to front though, I'm getting a inline 600. I was looking at the Ninja 650 though. Its a parallel twin though and looks stylish.

I'm scoping for a used GSX-R like the one for sale above. Too bad I don't have the cash yet.

I'd also take a used R6 or the like.

If you're going for supersports I'd go with older ones. Honda F3-F4s (F4i is a stretch), Older Gixxers circa 1999. 01-03 Ninjas, R6s with carb. These newer ones are well over 100hp or close and will get you in trouble VERY quickly.

I've been doing an assload of research. If you need advice let me know.
