Bored, so I took a pic
My plinker and XD. I just got myself one of those DSL-R cameras and thought I'd take a stab at one of these shots. If nothing other than cure my boredom, I hope this exemplifies the looks of the XD (as opposed to those ugly Glocks..). Critiques and comments welcome!

I shot one before...really fun to shoot, but the .22 casings stovepiped an awful lot. Totally fun shooting; great double taps too.

p22 is a great gun with the remington brass plated value pack never jams but with federal ammo it jams almost every round

I was looking at the P22 for a little plinker gun. I see them all over this board for a cheap gun to shoot. I'm still holding out for the conversion kit for the XD.
What are the camera specs? I'm running a D50...

I've been reading that these P22's are really choosey with ammo. At least any extra ammo I get from figuring out what the P22 doesn't like will get eaten up by my 10/22.
You must have noticed the pin indicator. I racked the slide back to check the chamber and didn't decock the gun for the picture. I know CA has generally higher prices than other states. I got it on sale for $280. Normally I find them here for $330. How do you like your Nikon? I was on the fence between a Nikon D80 and a Cannon Rebel. I ended up buying a Cannon EOS 350D (http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canoneos350d/) in a trip to Japan when I was there last May. It's an equivalent to a Rebel XT but for some reason Europe and Japan renamed it. I like it enough, but the lack of spot metering bugs me. |
