Dinner Defense!

I originally posted this over at Sigforum, but figured you guys wouldn't mind me sharing.

I grilled up some burgers for the family tonight while my wife was cleaning, and as we were all eating I noticed that she had put my P226 on the table with my gun cleaning stuff. I have never taken a dinner defense pic before, so I saw this as a golden opportunity!

The picture didn't turn out all that well, but if you look closely you can see my Sig sitting there, camoflauged by my table.

Also pictured: Bacon cheeseburgers w/ cheddar cheese and all the fixins, southwest-style corn w/ bell peppers, freezer-burned potato bites that I just got done throwing away (bleh...a food gift from my MIL...now I know why she gave them away! ), and of couse, a can of Moutain Dew for me.

I also had to post a few obligatory photos of my 19 month old, who has been wearing my Sigarms LE cap every day since I bought it. He loves that thing!

Luckily there wasn't too much ketchup damage to the hat by the end of the meal.

I'll get some better ones with my whole collection next time...this was just a target of opportunity for me. Thanks for looking guys!

I grew up in NW Ohio....near Michigan....

Anyway, someone posted a quiz a couple weeks back that determined whether or not you were "Yankee" or "Southern"...I scored "Difinitively Yankee"

HA!

it really doesnt matter where you grew up.. so long as you manage to do something that seems really strange, but made all the sense in the world at the time it was done..

take the car(s) on cinder blocks in the front yard example.. jack stands arent free.. and you gotta have a driveway to park in.. so you grab some sturdy blocks, and put the car(s) in the yard so your friends can park on the street when they come over for bbq..

yeah it looks goofy as all hell but its really kinda practical..

I have a tri-level townhome. Actually a quad level if you consider the garage a level...coming in from the front is the living room, which also has a set of stairs right in front of the front door that go down to the garage. Up the stairs from the living room is the dining room, office, kitchen, a half bath and laundry. Up yet another flight of stairs are three bedrooms and two full baths, one of them in the master bedroom. You can see all of the stairs except the ones that lead down to my garage if you look closely at the architecture on the right of the third pic.

Kinda wierd, but very spacious...in a vertical sort of way, lol. Typical of Colorado townhomes from what I hear.
