I can not speak for the ATF, but in the state of Missouri it is a bomb/explosive device. Back in May a senior about to graduate thought it would be funny to toss it into his locker and hear it go boom.

Political grandstanding? I duno, but he was charged with bringing a bomb and detonating it inside a school. His next school may well include three hots and a cot with bubba as a study partner!

Ggrrr...

That is the kind of range vandalism that is going to get my range shut down permanantly! Anyone notice it? Anyone? The Welcome sign above the bench has now become "We ***". The range I go to is out in the middle of nowhere. I shoot there because no one messes with me while I am shooting. As a matter of fact, I have only seen one other person shooting there. I don't have to worry about the safety of other shooters and whatnot. I like it alot. But, being un-manned, it is a target for thugs and backyards rednecks to destroy. They recently posted signs saying that any further vandalism would result in perm closure. So, me and a few deputy co-workers went and spent 6 hours cleaning the brass off the ground, cleaning up paper targets, and generally cleaning up the place. The wildlife officers stopped by and thanked us for our work. We didnt mind doing it, but wouldnt have to if others would. end or rant!

The effects of some 155 from a fire mission I called in on some old rusting tank hulks.
They let you near a .50, Sir? haha, just messing with ya, I was in 2/6 myself '01-'05. Never got to shoot the Ma Deuce though, I was in communications.

The Ma deuce was a blast to shoot. They let us play with all the big toys at TBS including letting us work the M198 gun line. 2/6...I just had a couple of my real good friends graduate from Infantry Officer Course and picked up their platoons last week in 2/8.
