Centex\Ex Baylor -1 Shoot (DUW)

A couple of us gathered this warm afternoon to put some down range, we were almost done when I rememered the camera in the truck. Managed to get some pretty good action shots.

This was my fisrt chance to shoot my very first batch of reloads ever. Started with 3.9 grains of HP-38 behind a 180 gr. FMJ. This was not enough power to cycle the slide, stove piping really badly. Moved up to a 4.1 gr of HP-38. This cycled the slide much better. This would be the load after I get a softer recoil spring.

All of the full size images can be found at.....

And a close up of the full recoil....

Good times, sorry to cut it short out there but pregnant wives can be persuasive when asking husbands to come home.

I wish I looked as good today as I did there... Had a little Mt. Bike crash this evening. Now I'm sitting on the couch covered in Extra Strength Ben-gay pads.

Yep, that was fun. I was in serious need of powder therapy. Thanks to Adam for instigating the deal.
