I have a friend that is a Gunsmith Student in Northern MN. He traded one of his rifles to a guy for a plain .357 sig XD. Since he needed another project he decided to pimp out his XD to the best of his abilities. He liked the idea of using a gun that he all ready has so the XD went to the milling machine to get worked on.

Work Done if I remember correctly:

Bored out Slide for comp
Thread barrel externally
Made Comp
Made mount from Scratch
Trigger job
Installed slide racker
Jeweled and lightened trigger

He has spent a lot of hours on this so I don't think he will be offering these types of mods to anyone's XD just yet. He is thinking about shooting some matches with it, but he won't be very competitive because of the small capacity mags he will have to use.

Just a heads up to folks there has been some talk about him making me a 6 inch XD40. I really can't think of any good reason to have one other then it would probably be the only one in the whole damn world, oh and then I could use it for Deer hunting here in WI.

Looks like a helpless XD that had a run-in with the Borg. I understand it's purpose-built, but I don't like it.

well she sure aint a CCW , hahahah i can imagine the noise that puppy produces for sure!!!!!

i can see most of the modification except that t-handle on the rear of the slide , not sure what that goin to do?
