Thanks! I've got a couple more guns but kept them out as they arent XD's....the shotgun just seemed appropriate.

Is your slide finished in NP3? If so what did it cost, and is it more slippery than the stock finish? How much was it for the barrel to be NP3'd and what are the benefits you have seen from it, besides looks? It said on Robar's websitethat they discourage the use on slides because it is very slick.

Yes.

I forget what I paid...around $140 for the whole gun, internal, external, everything. I got in during a sale and prices have since increased slightly.

They have a pricing guide on the Robar website.

No rust, harder finish, needs even less oil and can be run dry with no issues if I really want to, it is smoother and more slick but I don't have any issues with it. I'm surprised they discourage it as a finish considering it's a huge money maker, but hey...what do I know.

I highly recommend this finish.
