Well i decided to do it......
seeing how i never carry my XD9service anymore i decided to "bling" it up a bit, after reading about all on here polishing their barrels i said hey what the heck, this gun will be mostly a w/e shooter for my g/f, as i'm gonna try to get here very familiar with this weapon this summer, so here's the end product, it may not look super shiney and that's because it isn't, i wanted it to have a bit of a "brushed" look to it lmk what ya think

well i didn't wanna use sand paper and mess up the barrel to slide tolerances so here's what i used;
scotch brite green pads (very abrasive) to remove the bluing (also used a bit of the polish in this stage too) scotch brite blue "no scratch" pads for the finishing touch along with some blue magic metal polish didn't take all that long, just took a bit of elbow grease

As someone who used to work with aluminum frequently, I really like the brushed look. Nice job.

First were the native Americans ("savages"), then the black slaves (only "partly human"), then the Jews and gypsies in Hitler's Europe ("parasites on society"), and now America's unborn (also "not fully human"). Save the Americans--end abortion now. Insights and documentation on our nation's Christian heritage: www.WallBuilders.com |
