XD9 service model.
is it ok if i covered the grip safety & just keep it depressed the whole time?
i know i will be giving up the 2nd safety feature but i'm ok w/ that.
thanks.

This is a Hogue slip-grip on my XD9 Service. I have trimmed it a little more now, in a more rounded-edge to clear the safety even more so.

good point but then again, i never holster my gun w/ a chamber load.
i only shoot at the range & hopefully none for any defensive action.
there is nothing mechanically wrong w/ having the grip safety depressed all the time right?
BTW, thanks for the pix...the cut will not cause the grip to rip eventually?

I have had my grip since 2005 on and off many times and no ripping

I cannot think of one good thing that can happen by disabling a safety on and firearm!!!
