Unless it is direct replacement part that resembles 'factory' parts or is an accessory that was issued from the factory to that family of weapon it does not matter what country the part comes from to maintain its C&R status. Now, in order to use that detachible mag, which it is-It doesn't matter what they say, its not a 'fixed' mag, you will need to install the correct number of US made compliance parts. If you bought that with a C&R license, you are in violation of federal law by having a non C&R weapon purchased on that license. The only other mag you can put on it and possibly 'skirt' the fed ruling is a Chinese 20rd mag which IS a true fixed mag.
You cannot legally have an aftermarket stock on that gun IF it was purchased on a C&R.
You can however do anything you want to it except put on a pistol grip stock and a detachible type mag that holds 20rds or more without the compliance parts. If you do put on the PG stock and/or mag, use must install the correct number of parts.

If your not sure about your wolf call them up. they will pay to have it shipped back to them and send you out replacement stuff.
They will probably even give you a shirt or hat if you ask.

That must be some that fell through the cracks. They had a recall on alot of ammo and will check your 'lot' number. Some had severe case seperations/spliting/bulging cases and some with the wrong primers! I'm telling ya, quit being cheap and buy some Barnual/Silver Bear.....

Actually this was .40 for the XD. Haven't had a chance to readdress that issue yet.

Wish people stocked silverbear here. I can only get winchester and wolf. Wolf is becoming rare here after our main gunstore closed down. i haven't shot my sks for about 5 months. I could buy the ammo online, but I don't want to pay shipping. It usually puts it over what I can get it for at a gunstore if they ever have it. I have other guns to shoot anyway.

They didn't have the .45 at the time. I wanted something with more umph than the 9mm. Ballisticly the .40 is darn close. I don't think I even knew about 10mm until after I purchased.

You need to change out at least 8 parts on the SKS to make the magazine legal. If the magazine is US made that counts as 3 parts (body, floor plate and follower) If you get a Tapco T6 stock (like mine) theres another 3 parts. Then all you need is the gas piston and the operating rod. (less than 8 bucks a piece) That will give you 8 compliance parts. The sks has 18 regulated parts and you CAN have 10 or less foreign parts. So, in conclusion, change out 8 and you are legal. Go to http://www.tapco.com/. They have all the parts you need. If you want to keep the wooden stock then you'll have to find an American made bolt and carriers and stuff. Good Luck.

For those of you that want a larger mag you may want to rethink. Aftermarket mags for SKSs are hard to get to work properly with the SKS. Even if you get them to fed properly they are usually very hard to get them to be removable in a timley fashion. Fast reloads with detachable mags on the SKS aren't possible for the most part.
Most people can reload 10 rnds from a stripper clip much much faster than most mags can be replaced in the SKS.
Not to mention the stock 10 rnd. duckbill just makes the damn thing so much more reliable I don't think I'll ever go back to the hi-cap "removable" mags.
