+1 I'm at 1950 rounds.

Depends upon what you want it for.

My 15 year old son was shooting my wifes G19 in USPSA matches. I wanted a way for him to get some cheaper trigger time. The AA kit was the answer.

The AA kit, when it comes out for the XD will give you identical trigger feel with your duty/carry/game gun. With the price difference between 9MM and .22 LR the kit will pay for itself in about 2,000 rounds.

Now if you just want a .22 pistol, for bullseye matches, hunting, plinking, training, ect... then buying a separate gun makes a lot of sense. Because a decent .22LR pistol like the Buckmark or a Ruger Mark II/III will probably be more accurate and less ammo sensitive.

If you want a .22 plinker, go get one. They're a lot of fun. A conversion kit is more like a tool to help you get better with your XD without hitting you wallet so hard.

Just my $.02

I think the P22's go for $260-$350, depending on the color and size you go with--minus attachable laser sight.

My P22 was $300. That was with the nickel slide and 3~" barrel.

If Advantage Arms is TO BUSY to make there kits for the XD's then it seems it would be a good time for them to start OUTSOURCING there work load! or another company to take the ball and run with it! Being a DISadvantage to the XD owners is cutting off alot of would be sales for your company, striking while the irons hot go's for sales also!
