Im looking forward to this. I was most likely going to buy a p22 this weekend but I might wait and hold off on this conversion...

.22 conversion

Wow, I was researching Marvel and Ciener when I ran across this thread on the XD and Advantage Arms. I looked in the store section of Springfield's web site and there was a kit and magazine listed. I was so disappointed to read the detail which was only about Glock! So I am guessing the conversion unit is not ready to order yet!

I guess I'm the only one who would rather spend an extra $50 and buy a Browning Buck Mark and have two distinct guns than having a conversion kit?

Hi Mikeruluz,

You would really like the Buck Mark. I have a S&W 22s, it is a great .22 pistol. I want a .22 conversion for the XD to practice IDPA and for shooting from the same carry holster. My plan is to shoot several hundred rounds of .22 and then switch to 9-mm for the last 50 or 100 rounds of practice. Even reloading is becoming very pricey. I hope to stretch my shooting dollar. By the way I fell for the made up Springfield store advertisement listed on the Internet. It popped up when I did a Google search for an XD .22 conversion. I am such a fool!

Update as of this morning:

Not going to make it until sometime in 08. Been to busy making the Glock and 1911 kits, just haven't had the time to work on the XD.

Regards,

Advantage Arms

Glad I picked up the little Walther P22 when I did... I've shot 1100~ rounds through it so far and it's been a blast. Maybe when the conversion kit comes, I'll get it too... But for now, I'm still savings $$ by using my little P22.
