everyone raves about how good it shoots...am I the only one that thinks its ugly as a sin?

+1 on 22/45
Got my in SS Target model last Monday. Its a used pistol from my local shop. $199 Since they have a range, I got to try it there before buying. Paid for nothing but the ammo. 200 rounds and no problems

so, is it going to happen or was it just a marketing play of SA to sell more pistols?

This has nothing to do with SA, although it would be great if they would offer a conversion kit. The guys making these kits just seem to overwhelmed to forge a new product offering, which is unfortunate.

well, for me, i know it is one of the "perks" that some of the SA dealers use when selling the XD's, but the good news is two fold:

1. i love my XD9 regardless
2. i have a ruger 22/45 pistol that meets my needs just fine.
