The XDm in 40 is a great platform for USPSA production right out of the box! Through a magwell, sights, trigger work, and basepads and your ready to compete with 2k+ STIs

Question for you if you would, Why did you choose the xd40 Tact to compete with instead of the xd9 tact. I am curious b/c I am looking to get into competition shooting but one member said the xd9 tactical was perfect for comp and another member said he thought the xd9 tact just wasn't enough power. What are your thoughts.
Thanks for any help.

Scott
Someone can correct me on this but using 40 he shoot "major." Non-"A Zone" hits are scored higher than if he were to use 9mm. In Production on the other hand, 9mm and 40 are scored the same so there is no advantage to using 40 there.

You would be correct.

Safety First

Ronwald I have about 5K rounds through this gun and it still shoots like the day I got it back from the smith. You have to keep in mine that there is little to no pressure exerted on the front of your slide. These cuts made the slide lighter and easier to draw back in our humid summers and were worth every penny.

I really wanted to have a matching XDm built this spring in .40 but sales are down and my fun money has dwindled.
