Jevonniespapi the cuts were done to lighten the slide, give me some grip on the front of the slide, and to look cool. Like BBunin said there are not ports in the barrel the only thing that was cut is the slide it self.

I don't normally put this kind of cash into a gun, but they are used for a specific purpose and I don't like to do anything half ass.

So your the guy who made me want to get those cuts I saw on CC's gallery. Well it's your gun. I'm with you man. I'm not the richest man in the world but I love to go all out! I've already put quite a bit of money into my only XD (XD45 Tac). With a lot more to go! Do you already have a match grade barrel in that 40? Or are you waiting on PG's to come out? My stock barrel does pretty dang good.

Thanks for the kinds words it reallys is a great looking gun.

This gun has been utterly reliable up to this point it has never had a single FTF or FTE. Reliability is what I want in a competition gun and then accuracy second. I am planning on leaving it just the way you see it now. At the distances that I usually shoot I just don't need a lot more accuracy. The only other thing that I plan on purchasing in the future are the rear dawson sights. HPD watch out these types of guns can be a real money hole if you aren't careful.
