S&W M&P9c

Just picked it up today, going to shoot it tomorrow. Ergonomics are great, trigger pull feels just ok, probably going to get a trigger job done on it. Has 12-round magazines (one with a pinky extension, one without) and 3 swappable backstraps.

The finish on the slide and barrel (Melonite) seems much nicer than the non-Melonite finish of my XD-9...a definite plus!

yeah, definately make sure that you give us a range report. I've thought about one of those in 40 and non-compact.

Nice!
Any idea if you can mount a standard sized tac-light on that, or just the compact ones?
Gotta love our litigious society...Warning info on the slide...sheesh!

Let us know how it shoots!

the M&P was almost my first gun. i really liked the feel of it, and the trigger felt pretty good.
but in the end i went with my XD.
who knows, had that m&p had a rear safetly like the XD i may have purchased it instead.

cheers

Sweet. I just put money down on a full size 9mm at fin feather fur in ohio. Its on sale for $399. I'm gonna have the beaver tail removed by bowie tactical.

Mine does have the mag disconnect sadly, I don't see it being a potential problem though.

Here in ohio, columbus and cincinnati PD just ordered a few thousand.

My wife was shown one of those by a clerk when we were shopping for her carry gun (ultimately chose the XD9SC) but I flatly refused to give Smith & Wesson a dime of my money.

Some may have forgotten the shameful way that S&W betrayed gun owners in the late 90's / early 00's, but I never will.

The clerk was quick to state that the "reason" was that a British company had majority ownership of S&W back then (a statement that I have not confirmed) and that of course the Brits don't see private gun ownership the same way we Yanks do. Apparently S&W has been trying like hell to make up for past transgressions now that they are fully American owned (another statement that I have not confirmed) but for me it's a lost cause.

I'll never give them a second thought again. Too many other manufacturers out there who are not willing to cave in to pressure from anti-gun special interest groups.

Both statements are true...at least concerning ownership of S&W.

It's your money and you, of course, spend it when and where you like!
