Yay, I finally have something to contribute!!
Picked up the XD today. Didn't take long for me to realize that the accents would look pretty nice in white...so white they became!





I love love love this gun...now I just need to get to the range and put a couple boxes of WWB through it to break it in!

Good question, I'm planning on calling SA tomorrow to get a verified answer. I would have to say that it's very likely...the date on the included test round was mid-October 2006 IIRC. As long as the test fire date coincides relatively closely with the assembly date, and all XD's started the melonite treatment in April, mine is pretty likely to have it. I bought the gun at Gander Mountain, and they told me that they sell a crapload of XD's...I doubt this is an older "hangaround gun" from earlier in the year that was just sitting unsold on the shelf. We shall see though, fingers crossed.
