I like the titanium color. I would have called it a bi-tone had you not said it was duracoat

Hard to tell from pix, but more "muted/matte" in finish than the bi-tone, which I like. Not very reflective.

Bycyclist, which clear coat did you put on your XD?? I take it you used the matte?? Very nice.....

Matte clear coat, Duracoat by Ajames. I'm VERY pleased with the results.

At first I was going to sell my XD45 to help fund a new 1911, but not now, waaaay too nice of a gun - I'm keeping for carry and home defense. I'll just try to find the $$ elsewhere!

Jonny, funeralplanner, both guns look great!

Don't yet own a handgun, but leaning heavily towards the XD40...just need to go out now and fire a couple to make sure its for me! (Well, and possibly the wife as well, though looking at the LCW webpage, I could totally see doing a handgun in the purple for her if she gets into it.)

I wonder if anyone has thought to use the duracoat on knives (off to do a websearch)...

No one has painted the barrel and breech with Duraheat? That part gets a lot of wear.
