Yah I know...I have an 04 myself. And I would hope you made more than 330 stock in the LS2. Do you have a mod list you could copy and past over? Im sure you're on ls2gto.com and have a thread there |

ashylarry> I don’t expect the bottom end to last too long at this power level. But then again I don't drive it much. I have had the car for over 2 years and it only has a little over 5,500 miles on it. So at my current miles per year it should last another 5 - 10 years. But Before it lets go I plan on switching to a forged bottom end setup with some more cubes. Its a fun car to drive and work on.
As for the trap speeds, it has only been down the 1/4 mile twice and that was back when I was making 590 RWHP. But the best of the two runs was a 12.6 at 114mph. At the current power level and some practice I am sure that I could get it into the low 11's. Keep in mind that I am at a mile high altitude so the times are about 1 second slower when compared to sea level. But drag racing isn't my game. I am more of a street guy that enjoys a nice "Spirited" cruise during the weekend when the weather is nice. If I wanted to build a strip beast I wouldn’t use a GTO. Its just too heavy for that kind of stuff. Plus you could make a mean late model mustang or camaro for a lot less $$$. |

Yah that's definitely got the power for some great track times, if you weren't so high up. Yea I DD my GTO so I couldn't even imagine miles that low, and that motor lasting long for me
Just go with the LSX block |
