Cobra has always been my dream car. I was riding with a friend in his 64 Chev racing the 289 version back in the 60's. It wasn't close. The guy paid under $3,000 for the 289 Cobra.

Normally aspirated so it isn't so much fun at Bandimere. Probably lose about a second there.

Story reminds of a friend who had a blueprinted 327 in his 55 Chev. Raced a Mopar with two quads on it. He suggested he stuff a rag in one of them.

I appreciate any car that is well prepared and driven well.

Wish I lived at sea level.

I cant stand the "import scene". I build my cars to be fast not full of neon lights. So many people ruin it for others. I honestly could care less what you say about imports. Were not at war with Japan anymore gents you dont have to knock it so much

I recently sold a 289-equipped Cobra. Surprisingly, that stupid thing would beat the snot out of my 454-equipped Corvette. Those lightweight cars are really made for engines with low torque and a lot of top end HP. My Corvette will run consistent 12.20's. The smallblock Cobra made one entire run and clocked 10.93 @127 MPH! I don't expect my FE-equipped Cobra to be nearly as fast, but I expect a LOT more rear-steering and commotion from the tires!
