Do you have a big block in yours as well? I've seen a cobra kit car with twin turbos, talking about a lof of unuseable power!

Not that 440 HP is small but seems a little mild for a 428. Do you have it setup for high revs?

Get those brakes on and make sure you have some good brake pads too. With the speeds you are capable of you need more than drum brakes!
