So you're only getting the small parts colored? Slide will stay black w/ pink lettering? Hmmm... that's cool if she wants it that way. Personally, I wouldn't do that for my girl's gun.
I may have gone a different way, if it was for a girl: maybe color the whole slide a "normal" shade of pink, and the small parts pink, then do a black lettering on the slide. You don't *have* to do pink just because it's for a girl. There are many other colors to choose from, that would be really nice for a girl, too. My fiancee really loves the "cobalt blue" color, so I did this for her gun: ![]() That's a gun koted blue slide, and gk silver parts. I did the silver lettering myself. Looks pretty sharp, and she loved it. Just a thought.

Well, thanks, but I can't take credit for the coloring...
It was R/T Performance's idea first. And I knew my fiancee loves cobalt blue. So, thankfully to R/T (and him not having a copyright on it - It looks much better in person than in the picture. Between all the coloring "systems" for guns out there now, you can practically pick any color combo and have it look really good, then do the lettering yourself w/ a Lacquer Stik. Rich at Canyon Creek http://www.canyoncreekcustom.com/ did my fiancee's blue and silver gun kote.... and I got the silver lacquer stik from James of http://www.xd-hs2000.com/ .... both are true professionals and will fix you up right!
