I wish it had the rails. I called S.A. to see if they would sell me a frame or I would send it to them to have them retrofit it, they said no to both. They said they can't alter firearms.

I hear ya, I've got the same one and the only thing I wish I could change would be the rails. Other than that, she's my baby that shoots the best and feels the best in my hand.

I paid $300 for mine from my brother and it only had 200 rounds thru it.

That is one of the reasons I chose the XD. I had a Ruger P95 (9mm) and it did not have a rail on it. I liked all of the features of the XD, grip safety, trigger safety, lighter weight, smaller size, and the rail. Not that I have anything to mount on it yet, but I like the option.
