Everyday Use Boots

I know this isn't the most appropriate for the Outdoor Sports section, but I didn't know where else to put this. Anyway, I've been wearing a pair of boots only for a couple of months now and they already feel broken in (and make my feet hurt), which they shouldn't at this point in their lifespan. They were on sale for $40 usually being $90, but I wear these things everyday and everywhere; consequentially, a high-end backing packing boot (~$250-$500) isn't appropriate. So, I was wondering if anyone could recommend an approximately 6" boot for everyday use.

Redwing, Justin, Ariat, or Wolverine for work boots.

Merrell for hiking or casual.

I just bought a 225$ pair of Redwings and they hurt my feet after 2 hrs. They went back. great craftsman ship, I love there boots but this pair did not agree with my feet. I ordered these.
Converse Mens 6 inch Rapid Response Desert Boot Soft Toe plus FREE SHIPPING!
free shipping both ways and I had the chance to try on a pair local and loved them. the look is a little tactical, but they fit great.

I wear this boot everyday for work. Most comfortable boot ever. Easy to put on like a slip on. Stability of a lace up in just a couple twists of the knob. I have 2 pairs I alternate every day.

I wear CAT workboots. Decent, both in quality and price. With a good insolde, they are also very comfortable. I wear the non-steel toe version of this boot.
