Any Bowhunters on XDT?
Hey all,
Im an avid hunter and consider myself quite the rifleman, however within the last year i have all but quit taking the rifle to the field.
Now i am strictly bowhunt for whitetail, but ill make some AR shots on hogs coyotes every now and then
just seeing if anyone else is into bowhunting/archery

Pretty much exclusively bowhunt, only take the rifle when the weather is nasty. However, since I will be taking my 6 year old daughter this year, I will be doing a little more rifle hunting (hard to get her in my climbing stand).

I just picked up a 2011 Bowtech Assassain RAK in BlackOps, it is incredibly fast compared to my 1989 Bear Whitetaill II.
I am shooting Easton Flatline DOAs in 400 spine at 309 FPS with 28.5"DL/70#
its hard on a target for sure!
and one of my old bear bow (my first compound, now converting for bowfishing duties)

My bow is over 10 years old and in pretty poor condition, I can still shoot it well enough to kill bambi at 20 yards, but I'm ashamed to post a picture of it

The native Americans did it with a gut string and aged hickory...
My old Bear is 22 yrs old and can barely make a 40 yrd shot, but it has put meat on the table for years
