In a no-hitter, no one (on the losing team) gets a hit (single, double, triple, or home run). A batter can still reach a base on a walk (on balls or intentional), an error, hit by pitch, interference, or a number of other ways.
In theory, a pitcher can have a no-hitter and still lose the game (it has happened).
In a perfect game, no one on the losing team makes it to first base or beyond.
In the 5/29 game the error was on the losing team, not the winning team.
